In case you’ve been living under a rock, or just stuck in the city of L.A., there’re actually about 6 wildfires that are still raging throughout Southern California. Because most of us don’t travel outside our area code on a regular basis, I’ve realized that most Angelenos are oblivious to the fact that many Californians are being evacuated left and right, from the Castaic area down to San Diego. Once again, thanks to Youtube, the world has plenty of firsthand accounts of what it’s like to watch your neighborhood go up in flames. One of my friends just managed to escape his San Diego home with his dogs before watching his house catch fire, without even having time to grab his wallet. Our condolences go out to those affected and let’s pray for rain.

NCAA D-1AA Update

The Montana Grizzlies are currently undefeated in the season (6-0) and are headed behind their strong defensive play. Leading the secondary defense is senior defensive back #21 Chris Clark. He's making his mark every single game making huge plays for the defense and he is becoming a household name in the college football circuit.

The Grizzly defense had one of their best performances of the season. The Grizzlies gave up 346 yards on 93 plays by the Hornet offense and forced six turnovers. Senior cornerback Quinton Jackson and senior safety Torrey Thomas each had two interceptions while junior safety Colt Anderson grabbed one interception. Senior cornerback Chris Clark was the Grizzlies leading tackler with eight while Anderson, and senior linebackers Tyler Joyce and Loren Utterback tallied seven stops. The Hornet defense was anchored by junior linebacker Cyrus Mulitalo with a game-high 11 tackles, including two for a loss. Junior linebacker Mike Hickman also recorded 11 tackles in the loss.

College Football Update

Most of you already know that this year in college football the long going theme has been "Year of the Upsets." This past weekend just proved that. With #1 LSU losing to #17 Kentucky early on Saturday, @ halftime of the Oregon st. vs #2 Cal game the scores were official and Cal knew they had a chance to #1 in the nation. With the pressure on heisman candidate (#1 DeSean Jackson) Tim Clark #21 stepped up in his first official start and held the receiver to four catches for just five yards.
